Podcast Producer
To lead on all audio production for all aspects and commitments of the podcast lifecycle for a number of titles including: recording to a high quality (both remote and in studio), talent liaison, editing to a consistently high standard, publishing to major podcast platforms, podcast stat reporting etc.
Content creation in tandem with podcast hosts; deciding on topics, managing the process of guest booking (including tech tests where required), episode plan creation etc.
Creating social teasers for both host(s) and guests to share on social media (as well as ensuring these are supplied).
To focus on podcast strategic growth and development through both traditional and creative methods.
To manage all production elements of sponsorships to ensure delivery on-time and to a high quality; including client liaison, scripting to ensure brand goals are met whilst maintaining podcast integrity, and ROI reporting after.
Creative innovation and new release pre-production; identifying gaps in the industry and designing new podcasts around these (either with specific Talent in mind or more generally), and building podcasts from the ground up.
To drive forward live podcast experiences, including leading on audio production at the live shows.
Identifying, and creating entries, for all key industry award ceremonies.
Being the internal ambassador for podcasting; informing and promoting the opportunities in podcasts to Talent Managers and collaborating with them to create podcast briefs.
Being the external ambassador for Insanity Podcast Productions; able to attend meetings / calls to inform external partners about podcasting. This would include promoting sponsorship opportunities to brands.
To champion Diversity & Inclusion in podcasting across all titles.
Being the touchpoint between Insanity Group and the podcast industry.
Any other ad-hoc Audio Production commitments required by the company.
Job requirements
SpecificationsRequired:
2+ years of experience within podcasting or production.
Ability to competently and confidently edit audio (such as through Adobe Audition).
Ability to competently and confidently write copy.
Must demonstrate a high quality of work performed both accurately and efficiently.
Strong organizational, leadership and teamwork skills with excellent attention to detail.
Deep and passionate understanding of the podcast market.
Self-starter who is motivated with the ability to prioritize work and multitask over a wide range of responsibilities.
Works well independently and has teamwork mentality.
Demonstrated ability to think clearly and quickly under pressure in fast-paced entertainment environment.
Ability to solve problems.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Driven by results.
Good proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Drive and in Keynote.
Design and video editing experience via Adobe Suite are desirable, but not required.
Evidence of podcast experience via links, demos, video or design examples are welcome with your application.
Working Conditions
The role is usually carried out during normal business hours from the company’s head office situated within Sony Music Entertainment’s offices close to High Street Kensington. On occasion, the job may require evening or weekend work, remote working or work-related travel for new business opportunities.
The typical working day will be eight hours with an hour for lunch. Start time allows for flexibility within core business hours. May offer flexible working hours at the discretion of the Directors.
The job may involve working with challenging stakeholders or clients, from time to time.
